Interagency Response on Route 34B: Fleming Fire, Owasco, and Four Town Ambulance Manage Crash Scene

Auburn, NY — Volunteer firefighters and emergency medical units responded to a motor vehicle accident with personal injury Tuesday afternoon, securing the intersection and coordinating patient transport to a regional medical center.

At approximately 3:33 p.m. (1533 hours) on September 1, Fleming Ambulance and Rescue was dispatched to the intersection of Cork Street and State Route 34B for a reported motor vehicle collision.

The Fleming Fire Department responded with Chief Cars 2, 4, and 5, along with Engine 2 and Truck 1. Because the primary Fleming Ambulance unit was actively committed to a prior emergency call, mutual aid was dispatched from the Owasco Fire Department and Four Town Ambulance to assist with emergency medical operations and scene management.

First responders stabilized the incident scene, managed traffic hazards, and provided immediate on-site patient care. Four Town Ambulance transported one patient to Auburn Community Hospital for further evaluation and treatment.

Following debris removal and vehicle hazard mitigation, all operating fire and EMS units cleared the intersection and returned to service by 4:09 p.m. (1609 hours).
