West Thompson, CT – August 30, 2025 — At 7:18 p.m., The West Thompson Fire Department was on scene at the intersection of Route 12 (Riverside Drive) and West Thompson Road this morning. Fire Chief Mathew Whipple confirmed that crews remained on location until around noon to manage the situation.
While the department did not report any injuries or significant hazards, motorists were advised to use caution and expect possible delays while responders operated in the area. The presence of the department ensured public safety and traffic management during the incident.
Residents are reminded to follow all detours and instructions from first responders during such events to keep crews safe while they work.
