August 26, 2026 — On Wednesday, an all-hands home fire in Haddon Heights was responded to by Lawnside Fire Company Squad 272.
According to the organization, workers from many nearby departments attempted to contain the home fire while Squad 272 was there.
An all-hands assignment means that more fire departments and resources were needed to manage the situation and assist with on-site operations.
The reaction was a part of the local fire departments' mutual-aid agreement, which enables nearby businesses to help when more staff or equipment is required.
