September 6, 2025 — At approximately 4:30 p.m. Saturday, the East Hartford Fire Department responded to a reported fire at the corner of Lawrence Street and Smith Drive.
Crews arrived on scene and rapidly extinguished the fire, limiting damage to the garage and protecting the main living area of the home through well-positioned hoselines and an aggressive attack.
All occupants were safely out of the residence prior to the fire department’s arrival, and no injuries to civilians or responders were reported.
East Hartford Police Department and the Ambulance Service of Manchester assisted on scene.
