This article is a direct street report from our correspondent and has not been edited by the 1st Responder newsroom.

Fall River, Ma. For the 24th year since the terrorist attacks on our country the public gathered at the 9/11 memorial at Battleship Cove to honor the memory of those souls lost on that day.

The ceremony included the ringing of a bell aboard one of the ships with the code for a LODD in the fire service. Public Safety officials and politicians gave brief remarks followed by a wreath laying and a 21 gun salute fired from the Battleship. White Doves were then released during the playing of Taps.
