On September 11, 2025 David Tripp Jr took the oath for the position of Fire Chief of the Torrington Fire Department from Mayor Elinor Carbone at Torrington City Hall. Chief Tripp is a 29 year veteran of the Torrington Fire Department and has served as the Deputy Chief for the past few years.
