NEW CANAAN, Conn. (Sept. 11, 2025) — The New Canaan Fire Company, No. 1, joined communities across the nation Thursday in remembering the victims of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks and honoring the first responders who answered the call.
In a statement, the department said it paused to reflect on the courage, sacrifice and resilience shown that day and in the years since.
“We will never forget,” the statement read.
