TRUMBULL, Conn. (Sept. 8, 2025) — Firefighters removed a car door to free a trapped driver after a crash Monday morning on Monroe Turnpike at Corporate Drive, officials said.
Long Hill Volunteer Fire Company, Trumbull Center Fire Company and Trumbull EMS were dispatched around 10:30 a.m. Long Hill Car 1 confirmed one person was trapped in the vehicle.
Crews from Rescue 100, Engine 205 and Engine 102 secured the scene, removed the door and assisted EMS with the extrication. Firefighters also addressed a fluid spill and supported the wrecker company in clearing the scene.
