GEORGETOWN, Conn. (Aug. 4, 2025) — Georgetown Volunteer Fire Company members held a training drill Monday night to practice hose stretches designed for fires in hard-to-reach locations.
The exercise included advancing hose lines from Tower 38’s bucket to the roof, extending a line already in service, and deploying a 500-foot attack line with support from Engine 32.
Officials said the training helps firefighters remain prepared for complex fireground conditions.
