On Friday, September 11, 2020, the Mission BBQ restaurant at Foundry Row in Owings Mills hosted its annual 9-11 Remembrance event on the 19th anniversary of the attack on America.  Firefighter Katherine Garroway, a firefighter at Woodlawn Station 3 and a member of the Baltimore County Fire Department's 111th Recruit Class, opened the event with her rendition of the Star Spangled Banner, followed by comments from Mission BBQ staff.  Retired Baltimore City firefighter Robert McCurdy played the bagpipe, and the BCoFD Honor Guard displayed the colors.  Crews from BCoFD Stations 18 & 56, and volunteers from the Owings Mills, Pikesville, Glyndon, Reisterstown and Chestnut Ridge stations also participated.  Multiple Baltimore County Police officers also attended, and Rockdale Towing sent a heavy-duty wrecker.
