Parkway Crash at Clark–Colonia Line: Crews Secure Scene and Assist in Multi-Company Response

Clark, NJ - Clark Fire Department was dispatched to the Garden State Parkway for a motor vehicle accident occurring near the Clark and Colonia border, bringing a rapid response from local fire units working in a busy highway corridor.


On 16 August in Union County, New Jersey, crews arrived on scene where the collision had occurred along a high-traffic section of roadway. Firefighters immediately worked to secure the area, establish scene safety, and support initial stabilization efforts while coordinating with incoming units.


Clark Fire Department operated alongside Colonia Volunteer Fire Department, with multiple engine companies assisting in managing hazards, controlling traffic exposure risks, and supporting on-scene safety operations during the incident.


Firefighters remained on scene until conditions were stabilized and the roadway was made safe for traffic movement, before clearing and returning to service.
