Back-to-School Safety Reminder: Watch for School Buses

With summer wrapped up and students back in school, we remind everyone to stay alert behind the wheel. School buses make frequent stops, often just beyond a curve or hill. Please use extra caution when driving.

Calls & Activities:


  • August 16 – 7:59 PM: Responded to Higgins Hill Rd for a reported unauthorized burn.
  • August 18 – 9:24 AM: Medical response on Morey Hill Rd.
  • August 18 – 1:55 PM: Assisted Belmont Fire with a wildfire off Tunk Woods Rd.
  • August 19 – 6:00 PM: Monthly meeting held. Members from Belfast Fire provided CPR training, followed by a review of vehicle fire protocols and best practices.
  • August 22 – 12:33 PM: Investigated a gasoline odor at a commercial property in Belmont.
  • August 24: Annual pump testing conducted at the Robbins Lumber fire pond in Searsmont. Engine-32, Engine-34, and Tanker-36 all passed inspection.
  • August 24 – 10:49 AM: Assisted Belfast Ambulance on Weymouth Rd.
