Oakland, NJ - Oakland Fire Department crews have responded at approximately 1:45 PM to a reported commercial structure fire in the 1400 block of 23rd Avenue in Alameda County on 4 September, where fire was reported showing from a restaurant occupancy upon arrival.

Firefighters have made an immediate and aggressive fire attack, advancing lines into the involved structure while initiating primary search and containment operations. Crews have quickly brought the fire under control, limiting damage to the area of origin and preventing significant interior extension within the restaurant.

Adjacent exposure protection efforts have also been carried out, successfully stopping fire spread to the neighboring property and avoiding further structural involvement.

Incident Command, led by Battalion Chief Anthony Sanders, has confirmed the incident has been placed under control at approximately 2:08 PM. Overhaul operations have been completed to ensure full extinguishment and eliminate any remaining hidden fire conditions before units have been returned to service.
