Afternoon Response on North Stark Highway: Weare Crews Rescue Rollover Crash Victim

Weare, NH - Weare Fire and Ambulance crews responded to a single-vehicle rollover crash Monday afternoon near the safety complex at 144 North Stark Highway, where one person was found inside a vehicle that had overturned and come to rest on its roof.
The emergency call came in shortly after 3:30 p.m., bringing Weare Ambulance 2 and Engine 5 to the scene. Upon arrival, crews located the vehicle on its roof after it had reportedly left the roadway and struck a tree, causing the rollover.
On August 31, firefighters found a single occupant inside the vehicle who was conscious, alert and able to communicate with rescuers. Crews began working to safely extricate the occupant from the overturned vehicle before transferring the patient to Weare Ambulance for further medical care.
The individual was transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Fire and ambulance personnel remained at the scene while the vehicle was secured and the emergency response was completed.
The scene was cleared at approximately 4:30 p.m., about an hour after crews arrived.The incident highlights the importance of coordinated fire and EMS response during vehicle rollovers, particularly when occupants are trapped inside damaged vehicles. Weare Fire and Ambulance personnel worked together to safely access and remove the occupant before providing continued medical care.
