On Sunday, 24 August 2025, the Brooklyn Fair concluded another successful four-day run, bringing together residents, volunteers, and first responders in a true display of community spirit. While fairgoers enjoyed the rides, food, and entertainment, weeks of preparation and countless hours of behind-the-scenes work made the event possible.

From organizing parking lots and painting the medical building, to stocking supplies, maintaining water and ice stations, and adding plants and flowers, volunteers ensured the fairgrounds were ready. The effort highlighted how much can be achieved when people come together with a shared purpose.

This year’s event was supported by the East Brooklyn Fire Department, Dayville Fire Company, Attawaugan Fire Department, and Hampton Fire Company, along with the DEMHS Region 4 UTV, all of whom played key roles in safety and logistics. Members of the Mortlake Fire Company balanced their commitment to the fair with responding to emergency calls in the wider community.

Parking operations, coordinated by volunteers, families, and friends, kept traffic moving safely while also generating proceeds that benefit both the fair and Mortlake Fire Company.

“The Brooklyn Fair is always a highlight of summer,” organizers noted. “It’s a joy to connect with neighbors, see familiar faces, and take part in such a well-loved tradition.”

The 2025 fair reaffirmed its place as one of the region’s most cherished events, demonstrating the value of teamwork, dedication, and community pride.
