On Friday, 8 August 2025, the East Killingly Fire Department responded to a structure fire at 1332 Hartford Pike in Dayville. Multiple mutual aid agencies were dispatched to assist in containing the blaze, reflecting the strength of regional cooperation during major incidents.
Among the agencies on scene were the Dayville Fire Company, Danielson Fire Department, Attawaugan Fire Department, Williamsville Fire Engine Company, East Putnam Fire Department, Putnam Fire Department, South Killingly Fire Department, Moosup Fire Department, and Mortlake Fire Company. Additional support was provided by the Danielson Veterans Coffeehouse, American Red Cross, KB Ambulance, Railside Tavern, Special Signal Fire Association/Providence Canteen, and the Killingly Rehab Unit, ensuring both community members and first responders received care and relief during the extended operation.
Fire officials expressed their gratitude for the teamwork and dedication displayed across all responding agencies. “We are grateful for the incredible support for our community,” the East Killingly Fire Department stated, emphasizing how regional partnerships are critical in keeping residents safe.
