Tuesday, 19 August 2025 – The New London Fire Department (NLFD) extended its thanks to the Willmar Area HEAT Team for joining them in town for a joint training session focused on hazardous materials response.
The exercise provided NLFD members with valuable instruction on how to assist the HEAT Team should a hazmat incident occur in New London. Officials emphasized that training alongside regional partners strengthens readiness and ensures a coordinated response during high-risk emergencies.
The department expressed its appreciation to the HEAT Team for sharing their expertise and noted that ongoing training remains vital to protecting both residents and first responders.
