Dunstable firefighters battled a 1 1/2 acre brush fire off of French St on the evening of 8/30/22. Crews had to hike into the woods to locate the fire. Companies remained on scene the next two days extinguishing deep seated hot spots. The dry conditions had fire burning 6-12 inches into the ground. Mutual aid from Groton, Pepperell, and Tyngsborough assisted at the scene and to cover.
