On September 1, 2026, in Waldo County, crews arrived to find heavy fire conditions showing from the rear of the building at the affected apartment unit. Firefighters quickly initiated an aggressive interior and exterior coordinated attack, focusing on containing the fire to the involved area while protecting adjacent units within the structure.

Crews worked under rapidly changing conditions, advancing hose lines and conducting primary searches to ensure all occupants were safely evacuated. Their efforts successfully prevented the fire from extending beyond the originating apartment, significantly reducing overall building loss despite substantial damage to the unit of origin.
