Franklin firefighters support youth water safety training

FRANKLIN, N.H. (Aug. 21, 2025) — The City of Franklin Fire Department assisted this week with water safety and rescue training for high school students, officials said.
The program, organized by the Lakes Region Community Emergency Response Team, included instruction on flotation devices, recognizing hazards and practicing simple rescue techniques.
Outdoor New England and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Franklin Falls Dam also partnered in the training.
