WEST UNION, NY — August 31 — The Whitesville NY Volunteer Fire Department responded to a vehicle fire that was still burning in West Union around 2:26 p.m.on Monday, August 31.When firefighters arrived, they worked to put out the fire and then checked the vehicle and the surrounding area to make sure the scene was safe.The department sent out three apparatuses: W50, driven by Chief Todd Sherman; W2, operated by Denny Erdmann; and W7, operated by Tyler Mattison.Nine more personnel joined the response, making a total of 12 department members involved in the incident.

The available report from the department did not mention any injuries, the cause of the fire, or an estimate of property damage.
