West Weathersfield Firefighters Responded to Outside Fire Amid Burn Ban

Friday, 29 August 2025 – The West Weathersfield Volunteer Fire Department (WWVFD) reported that Brush 1, Tanker 1, Engine 2, and Engine 7 responded to an outside fire earlier in the morning.
Officials reminded residents that all outdoor burning was prohibited due to dry weather conditions, which had heightened the risk of brush and wildfires.
The department emphasized that compliance with the burn ban was critical to community safety and to preventing unnecessary strain on emergency resources.
