Area fire departments hold water supply training in Killington

KILLINGTON, Vt. (Aug. 12, 2025) — Eleven fire departments from across the region joined Tuesday night in a mutual aid training focused on water supply for large fire events.
The session was organized by Killington Fire Rescue and the Bridgewater Volunteer Fire Department. It took place at Mountain Lumber & Hardware, formerly Goodro Lumber, in Killington.
Departments participating included Pomfret Teago, Hartland, Bridgewater, Plymouth, Ludlow, Killington, Chittenden, Rutland Town, Pittsford, Proctor and Clarendon fire.
Bridgewater officials thanked Mountain Lumber for hosting and acknowledged the efforts of all personnel who trained together on a hot summer night.
