Sharon Fire Department Eased Burn Ban

Saturday, 30 August 2025 – The Sharon Fire Department thanked residents and visitors for their cooperation with the recent burn ban, noting that compliance had reduced the number of emergency calls during a period of extreme dryness.
With the holiday weekend approaching, officials announced that small campfires within protective rings were permitted, but bonfires remained prohibited due to ongoing dry conditions. The department emphasized that the community still desperately needed rainfall and urged everyone to continue exercising caution.
“Thank you again for your cooperation,” the department stated, reminding residents that safety comes first as summer fire risks remain elevated.
