This afternoon, firefighters responded to a brush fire in the area of Brushy Plain Road and Hosley Avenue. Engine 9 and Engine 1 were on scene and worked quickly to contain and extinguish the fire. During the incident, M.P. Rice Hose Co. 2 provided station coverage to ensure the remainder of town remained protected.
