Chester firefighters conduct vehicle extrication training

CHESTER, N.Y. (Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2025) — Chester firefighters sharpened their rescue skills Tuesday night during a vehicle extrication training held behind the fire department, officials said.
The on-duty crew, joined by an additional member, practiced stabilization and removal techniques on a donated vehicle. S&S Metals provides cars on a regular basis for the department’s hands-on training.
Officials said the exercises help ensure firefighters are prepared to respond quickly and effectively to motor vehicle accidents.
