Medway, MA - On 1 August, the Medway Fire Department responded in Medway, Norfolk County, for a reported incident involving an elderly resident who sustained significant injuries after falling down a flight of stairs.

Upon arrival, crews quickly initiated patient assessment and provided immediate on-scene care, working to stabilize the individual. Given the nature of the injuries, air medical support was requested, and coordination was established with Boston MedFlight for expedited transport.

The patient was subsequently airlifted from the Station 1 landing zone to Tufts Medical Center for further treatment. Crews remained on scene to assist with landing zone operations and ensure a safe and efficient transfer of care.
