Dansville, NY — August 7 — Firefighters responded to two commercial fire alarm activations on Friday, August 7, along State Route 36 in the Town of Danville.
Arkport Hose Co.
#1 Inc., based at 6 Park Avenue in Ark port, was the first fire department to respond. The first alarm was called in around 4:12 p.m. and was handled by Engine 69, Tanker 9, Chief 2, and Chief 201, who went to the site to check the situation.
A second commercial fire alarm was dispatched approximately 5:46 p.m.
Dispatchers informed responders that a keyholder was still present at the location. Using that information, all responding units were recalled shortly after the second alarm was sent.
No fire or other emergency was reported in connection with either of the alarm activations, according to the details provided in this article.
The responses allowed firefighters to examine the alarm conditions and ensure an appropriate level of response until the situation was fully understood.
The Town of Connellsville stated that Arkport Hose Co.
#1 is one of three volunteer fire companies serving the town, and the City of Cornell also provides fire protection when necessary.
