Seneca Falls, NY — August 25 — A crash involving two vehicles on Bauer Road in Seneca Falls resulted in three people being taken to local hospitals on Tuesday morning. The incident occurred when a sedan moved into the opposite lane and collided head-on with a pickup truck.

The Seneca Falls Fire Department was the first to arrive at the scene after the Seneca County Communications Center sent calls for police, fire and emergency medical services around 7:47 a.m.

Deputy Chief Larsen arrived shortly after, and North Seneca Ambulance sent multiple ambulances to the location. An additional ambulance from Mercy EMS was also called in.

Seneca Falls Engine 1 and Rescue 52 were responsible for managing the scene, handling fluid spills and setting up a potential landing area for air-medical transport if needed.

However, due to weather conditions, an air-medical transport option with a short flight time was not available, and the landing zone was not used.

According to the Town of Seneca Falls Police Department, officers found a child with a facial cut and two adults who had chest pain and other minor injuries.

Police reported that the southbound sedan had crossed into the northbound lane and hit the pickup. All three injured individuals were taken to nearby hospitals.

Bauer Road was temporarily closed while emergency crews worked to clear the scene and remove the vehicles.

The incident was cleared by Seneca Falls fire units by approximately 9 a.m.
