Small Fire Extinguished Near High Voltage Equipment in Pine Beach

PINE BEACH, NJ - At 5:52 P.M. on August 29th, the Pine Beach Volunteer Fire Company was dispatched to a JCP&L substation located at 300 Lee Avenue for a small fire near the high voltage equipment.
Fire personnel secured the area while JCP&L technicians ensured that the fire was not electrical in nature and made the area safe. Damage was contained to the immediate area of origin and the cause is under internal review by JCP&L.
