Seekonk, MA - Seekonk Fire Department units, along with Special Signal Fire Association / Providence Canteen and additional mutual aid partners, responded on a second alarm assignment to the Town of Barrington, Rhode Island, for a reported structure fire at Saint Luke’s Church on Washington Street.

On August 18, 2026, at approximately 04:25 hours, Engine 1 and Car 1 were dispatched to assist at the active fire scene as multiple departments worked to bring the incident under control. Upon arrival, Seekonk crews operated in support of ongoing fireground operations at the involved church structure, where significant fire conditions required a coordinated multi-agency response.

Firefighters assisted with suppression support and operational duties alongside mutual aid companies, helping to maintain fireground stability during the active incident. Crews worked in coordination with responding agencies as efforts continued to contain and manage the fire.

As operations progressed, Seekonk units were eventually cleared from the scene after providing assistance during the incident and supporting the overall emergency response.
