Firefighters Knock Down Vehicle Blaze on Garden State Parkway

The Somers Point Fire Department was called to the Garden State Parkway, southbound at mile marker 30.7, approximately around 10:45 a.m.for a motor vehicle accident involving a vehicle fire.
Engines 44 and 46 arrived promptly and quickly brought the unoccupied vehicle fire under control. Crews from Egg Harbor Township EMS, the New Jersey State Police, and the New Jersey Forest Fire Service also responded to the incident, assisting with scene safety and support operations.
