On August 4, 2025, at 12:30 p.m., Laureldale Fire Company was dispatched on Call #278 for a reported structure fire on Burning Tree Court. Mutual aid was quickly summoned from Cologne and Mays Landing as smoke and flames were reported in the area.

Laureldale Chief 18-30 and Mays Landing Assistant Chief 18-11 were first on scene, confirming a working fire. Cologne’s Tower and Laureldale’s Engine 33 arrived moments later, with Engine 33 laying a supply line from a nearby hydrant and joining the fire attack. Tanker 38 arrived in sequence with Mays Landing’s Tanker 19, along with Cardiff’s engine from Egg Harbor Township, bringing additional water and manpower.

Thanks to a coordinated and aggressive attack, crews were able to contain the blaze to the original structure, though nearby residences sustained some damage from heat and exposure. Firefighters remained on scene for nearly three hours to fully extinguish hot spots and ensure the area was safe.

Once back at their stations, members spent over an hour cleaning and repacking hose lines and restoring trucks to service.

Additional assistance on scene came from Bargaintown Fire Company, NJ Air Guard Firefighters, the Township of Hamilton Rescue Squad, and the Township of Hamilton Police Department.
