This article is a direct street report from our correspondent and has not been edited by the 1st Responder newsroom.

TUCKERTON, N.J. — April 9th — Parkertown Volunteer Fire Company responded to a reported structure fire in Little Egg Harbor Township's Parkertown neighborhood. The incident was elevated to a working fire assignment after arriving units discovered severe fire conditions involving a detached structure close to a dwelling.

Additional firemen from nearby agencies helped with scene support, water supply, overhaul operations, and suppression attempts. For several hours, workers worked to secure the area and put out any last hot spots. The building was later mitigated to lower the risk of collapse for surrounding residences and employees due to structural instability. There were no reported injuries. The Ocean County Fire Marshal's Office and the New Jersey State Fire Marshal's Office are still investigating the fire.
