WAYNE, N.J. (Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2025) — A hazardous materials leak was contained Tuesday morning in Wayne Township after multiple agencies responded to the scene, officials said.
Community Volunteer Fire Company No. 1 and Wayne Fire Company No. 5 were dispatched along with the Passaic County Sheriff’s Department HazMat Team. Crews stopped the leak, and the site was turned over to proper authorities for further handling.
Officials said the incident was quickly brought under control, and no injuries were reported.
