Loudon, N.H. — August 17 — Around three in the morning, the Loudon Fire Department and automatic mutual aid departments were called to Beanie's Bar & Grill, 58 Route 129, due to a reported building fire.

When Loudon Fire Chief Tom Blanchette noticed the fire's glow in the sky while responding, he elevated the response to a second alarm. When firefighters got there, the roof was already on fire.

In order to support the water delivery operation, a third alarm was sought for more tankers. At 4:56 a.m., firefighters managed to contain the fire. The firefighter received treatment for a minor wound. The cause of the fire was investigated by the New Hampshire State Fire Marshal's Office.
