Wednesday, 30 July 2025 – Firefighters from the Hope Volunteer Fire Department – Station 38 joined neighboring departments in Allamuchy for a multi-agency training session focused on electric vehicle (EV) fires and extrication operations.
The hands-on drills gave firefighters the opportunity to refresh their skills on handling EV fire scenarios, which present unique challenges due to high-voltage battery systems, as well as techniques for safely removing trapped occupants.
Training alongside area departments strengthens coordination and ensures first responders remain prepared for the growing number of electric vehicles on the road.
