Members of Bloomsbury Hose Co. #1 (BHC) responded late last night to a call for assistance on Route 579. A tractor trailer became stuck, requiring the closure of the roadway for safety. BHC members worked to secure the scene and support traffic control until the situation was stable.

After a brief rest, members were called back out in the early morning hours. Working alongside Pattenburg Volunteer Fire Company, Station 25 of Union Township, crews assisted with washing soda residue from the roadway to ensure safe travel for motorists.

Both companies coordinated to complete the cleanup and return the roadway to normal use.
