Fanwood Fire Department Training Scheduled for August 25 at South Avenue Site

The Fanwood Fire Department announced it will conduct training exercises between 6:30 PM and 9:30 PM at 200 South Avenue on 25th August 2025, the site of the former Shellan’s Crossing.
The drills will include the use of a smoke machine inside the building, which may be visible from the street. Residents should not be alarmed, as this is part of the scheduled training.
Emergency personnel, fire apparatus, and equipment will be in operation throughout the evening. While no road closures are expected, officials ask pedestrians and motorists to use caution in the area.
The department emphasized that these training sessions are an important part of ensuring firefighters are fully prepared for real emergencies.
