More than 30 people were rescued Tuesday after a vessel ran aground in the Delaware River near Freedom Pier, officials said.
Gloucester City Fire Department’s Marine 5 responded to the scene earlier in the day after the vessel *Northwind* became stuck. Crews evacuated all passengers without incident and transported them safely back to shore, according to the department.
No injuries were reported. Authorities said the quick response ensured a safe resolution.
The circumstances of how the vessel ran aground remain under review.
