BROCKOTN, MA - On Thursday, August 19th, the Fire & Iron Firefighters Motorcycle Club, Station #144 based on the South Shore, stopped by the Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital to make a donation of toys to their pediatric unit. Fire & Iron held a "Christmas in July" toy drive and were able to get donations from club members, area businesses and friends. A donation is made by the club annually during the holidays, but with the current need so great for their pediatric patients, another donation was put together. Hospital staff reported that the toys are desperately needed, as they have seen an influx of pediatric patients being admitted with everything from respiratory illnesses, to mental health issues.
