Bernardston, MA. — July 18 — The Bernardston Fire Department was called to a rollover incident involving entrapment on Interstate 91 northbound around mile marker 49.6. Northfield EMS and Massachusetts State Police responded with Car 1, Engines 2 and 3, Rescue 1, Tanker 1, and Squad 1. Crews discovered a car facing south that had collided head-on with a guardrail.

The only occupant reported no injuries after self-extricating. The occupant was assessed by Northfield A2, and no transportation was needed. The railing damage was reported to MassDOT and the car was towed. After finishing their response and making sure the location was secure, firefighters cleared.
