BETHLEHEM, NY - The Town of Bethlehem Police Department, along with many other local police agencies, hosted National Night Out on Tuesday, August 6th. National Night Out is one of the largest crime prevention gatherings in the United States, with displays from local, state and federal law enforcement agencies, as well as fire and EMS agencies. Vehicle and equipment displays were provided by Bethlehem Police, Albany FBI, Delmar-Bethlehem EMS, Albany County Paramedics, as well as Delmar, Slingerlands, Selkirk, Elsmere, SABIC fire departments and Town of Bethlehem Highway Department. New York State Police also landed a helicopter in the field for people to view. There were also giveaways and food provided. At the end of the night, Firefighter of the Year awards were presented to members of each agency.
