Washingtonville, N.Y. — On July 27, at around 3:27 a.m., the Washingtonville Fire Department was sent as the FAST team to the Coldenham Fire Department firehouse due to a second-alarm fire.

In order to support fireground operations, Squad 580 responded and remained on the scene. Five firefighters with non-life-threatening injuries were taken to St. Luke's and Garnet hospitals.

The Arson Branch of the New York State Office of incident Prevention and Control is still looking into what caused the incident.
