PLYMPTON, MA - On Monday, July 31st, Plympton firefighters responded to the area of 193 Main St. for a tractor-trailer that rolled over into a cranberry bog. The driver was self-extricated and transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The vehicle was leaking fuel into the bog, which was controlled by a front-end loader dumping sand in. Firefighters used leak control equipment that is carried on their apparatus to stop the leak. DEP was called to the scene to evaluate the cranberry bog.
