Mutual Aid Structure Fire Response Followed by Electrical Emergency from Hit-and-Run Crash

Beaver, PA - Firefighters from Blue Knob Volunteer Fire Company responded to assist on a structure fire in Summerhill Township, Cambria County, operating alongside mutual aid companies.


While returning from that incident, Engine/Tanker 86 was dispatched to an electrical emergency in Greenfield Township. Crews arrived to find the situation was the result of a hit-and-run crash that had caused a secondary vehicle accident and damage to utility lines.


Engine/Tanker 86 remained on scene to secure the area and stand by until the power company arrived to address the hazard. The Pennsylvania State Police are investigating the incident.
