On August 9, the Cambridge Springs Volunteer Fire Department had a busy day, responding to multiple calls that needed mutual aid assistance and specialized resources.
Initially, crews were sent to two different incidents to set up landing zones for STAT MedEvac. The department was asked to help the Meadville Area Ambulance Service retrieve a patient from French Creek shortly after it resumed operations due to a medical emergency involving a kayaker. To assist in reaching the patient in the isolated location, the Edinboro Volunteer Fire Department supplied a UTV.
Crews from Cambridge Springs were called to a car accident in Cambridge Boro close to the fire station prior to resolving that incident. All crews and agencies that participated in the day's responses were commended by department authorities.
