Tarentum, PA. — July 26 — On northbound Route 28 beneath Pittsburgh Mills Boulevard, the Frazer Volunteer Fire Department #2 responded to a significant car collision with an ejection. While emergency services were on the site, crews set up a landing zone for LifeFlight. Throughout the incident, Route 28's northbound and southbound lanes were closed. 160EN1, 159EN1, 134EN1, 175RE, 315RQ, and 282EN1 were among the responding units.

While the 175 Chief oversaw landing zone operations, the 160 Chief was in charge of incident command. During the response, firefighters oversaw air medical assistance, traffic control, and rescue operations. To handle the situation, the department followed established command and landing zone protocols.
