Farm House in South Windsor Well-Involved Upon Arrival

This article is a direct street report from our correspondent and has not been edited by the 1st Responder newsroom.

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT - SWFD was dispatched to a house fire on Friday, July 25th just after 2:00 P.M., during extremely high temps of 95-degrees with a heat index at 102-degrees, and a limited water supply.

Fire Chief Kevin Cooney arrived first and found cars in the yard, with no one outside. He made entry from the opposite of the home for a search, but was forced back due to the volume of fire throughout the first floor.

This was a very stubborn fire with limited interior access due to hoarding conditions and a large fire load.
