New Britain, CT. - A fire on the second-floor porch was quickly brought under control at 177 Belden Street on August 10th. Firefighters had heavy fire showing from the front top porch and starting to enter the attic in the 2.5 story home when they arrived around 3:30 A.M. The roof was vented and all fire was put out in short order. Two families were displaced, and the cause is under investigation.
